I absolutely LOVE Berkeley! This is by far my favorite bar and restaurant in downtown Raleigh. There is nowhere else that you can come and get a homey vibe, amazing food (seriously so delicious and tasty vegan options!) and very fairly priced drinks for downtown Raleigh and leave feeling like you just became part of the family. The bartenders are always awesome and great to talk to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious, chill and casual bite to eat!

I love finding diners, so naturally I found Berkeley Cafe. Yes, it's divey but the food is excellent (seriously), full bar, good beer selection.nnSimple spot without the pretenousness of the hipster spots. Berkeley Cafe is always a hit.nnThey have a great live music and open mic culture established too.nnVery simple and very good.nnKids friendly too.

First time visiting Berkeley. The plan was a quick bite on a quiet COVID Friday evening.nWe ordered a Club sandwich with Avacado. The sandwich was good though it took quite some time for the sandwich to arrive despite a very few customers. The sandwich is served with homemade chips. The chips were a undercooked.nThe atmosphere at Berkeley was very subdued. Though, I suspect that it's a much more happening place in a non-Covid world. I do have to say that the bartender/server was very responsive, friendly and personable.nWe need to give Berkeley a try again.

AMAZING FOOD!!! Came here for the first time for restaurant week and wow the food was so so good. The Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was amazing as well as the Shrimp and Grits, some of the best food I have tried! Already craving it again! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!!
