Carolina Beach State Park

This place is amazing. The campground is well kept. Bathrooms are clean and well lighted at night. They have great firepits at the sites and plenty of trash cans that are empty often. Very family friendly and your fur babies are welcome as long as you have them leashed and clean up after them.

A beautiful any-season spot for walking/jogging/pet-walking. Paths wander through woods, by swamps, and along the river. A great way to pass a few hours on beautiful Wilmington days!

Nice park. Cool trails along the water and I found the Venus Fly traps. A bit like hide and seek. Definitely recommend for a break from the water.

We loved staying here. We live in our van and we decided to come to wilmington for a few days and ended up staying here. It was very affordable and offered a lot of amenities. We loved site 47 because it was close to the bathhouse, water, walking trail to the river, and offered the most privacy. We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful state park with great hiking trails and water access to the Cape fear river. Also have a nice marina and boat launch. Many campsites are also available.
