It may be a smaller space but,the knowledge I walked out with was immense. We were given a tour by a very knowledgeable guide who was able to tell much about early aviation. This was a great experience well worth the trip.
Absolutely great aviation environment. The volunteers here are very passionate and excited to teach anyone who walks through the door. Small hanger but beautiful aircraft and a time well spent here.
The airport is tiny, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by how many planes there were and the wealth of information they had on each airplane. The history of each plane was lovingly documented by their enthusiastic volunteers. In the summertime, they offer plane rides for a small fee.nGive yourself 1.5 to 2 hrs to climb on the planes and read all the materials provided. Volunteers provided lots of fun extra information and antidotes that added to the experience.nJust a few minutes drive from Hendersonville.
An amazing array of aircraft and awesome volunteers. Fun atmosphere.
Def. Worth a visit. Very cool place with lots of planes to see up close. Well maintained and nice people who work here. Hours are tricky, so look it up before you go
