I've been a member of this gym due to it being close to home and locally owned and decided to support it throughout 2020--even though it was closed due to Covid. So when it comes time that I need a statement to turn in for my reimbursement at work, I request it several times with no response. Never received it. But when it came time to continue to bill me and they had an issue with my card, they found the time to reach out with no problem. I'm cancelling my membership. Communication is important and the fact that it was so convenient to reach me when they wanted their money but not when I needed something, is off-putting. On top of that, they want to charge me for one extra month AFTER I've already signed the paperwork to cancel. Terrible policy. Terrible communication. Never again.

I go during off hours so the gym is pretty quite. Plenty of space between other gym goers.

Well, I wanted to like this place. I wanted to support a local business and not a MegaCorp gym. I even wanted to go there. But...nnThe classes are hit-or-miss. Some instructors are good, some are... I don't know what. Not good, I guess.nnIt's also expensive. For what you get (which is close enough to the same as a MegaCorp gym), it's expensive. Other big gyms are 10 bucks a month. So there's that.nnThen, COVID hit. They generously offered to freeze payments while they were closed for COVID, which is a service, I suppose, since their contract stipulates that you are required to pay the gym monthly even if it burns to the ground. (I should have balked at signing a contract).nnI reached out to the company and never heard back. Even though I had given written notice of my intent to cancel my membership, they gave me the runaround and made me come to the gym to sign some unnecessary paperwork even though it isn't stipulated that you need to do that in your contract (it just asks for written notice, which I gave based on the definition in the NCGS).nnHonestly, I really didn't want to sign a contract just to go to a gym. Most people don't end up going enough to make it worthwhile and I was no different.nnWhen I did go in to sign their BS paperwork, they had many, many people not wearing masks. Yikes. One person walked right up to the customer service desk and the manager said nothing to them.nnOverall, it's hard to like the place unless you're: 1. 65 or older 2. A good old boy 3. an aspiring powerlifter or football player. Since I'm none of those, I never felt comfortable there. Once things went sideways with COVID and the ensuing mess, it was time to write this review.nnThey got one extra star just because I wanted to like the place.

My bank account has been charged every month since March even though this establishment has been closed due to the Covid-19 virus. It states on their website to email them if you want to cancel or place your account on hold....so that is what I did last month. I received no response to my email requesting to place my account on hold and no one is answering the phone. So not only did they already get me for $100.00,I had to pay $50.00 to cancel my membership just to add insult to injury. I cannot afford to pay for something that I am not using at this time. This is completely unprofessional and unfair.
