Got an oil change and it was fast! Very nice people. Prices are great considering only one mechanic and the current pandemic. Would recommend!

I found out I was expecting baby number 4, 2 months after having baby number 3. I spent quite a bit of time online looking, because I wanted to pay cash for a safe and comfortable minivan for my children. Through Facebook marketplace, I found a 2007 Chrysler Towne and Country Touring edition with 140k miles that a woman was selling because she no longer needed it. It was listed inspected, great shape and ready to go. The vehicle was located here At the location I am reviewing, so this is where went to see it. My step dad came along to check tires, lights, wipers, look for flood damages. He wanted to make sure my kids and I would be safe. He heard a noise and asked a guy if it needed a new coil pack and the guy said yes. Ok cool, we can take care of that. Idk how NC inspections work but things like that must not be included since it was advertised with a fresh oil change, tune up and “just recently” inspected. Safety check passed for my step dad, van sounded ok for the age and miles, so I took my savings and I bought it. We had 4 beautiful days together before I started to smell gas in the vehicle. I have a 5 year old and 4 month old in the back so we pulled into speedway to check it out. Gas was literally pouring out from underneath the hood. Called some friends, family brought tools, guys at the shop next door helped out and we had it fixed...you know, before it caught on fire. That would have been pretty dangerous since they didn’t mention that sometimes, the front window just doesn’t work? A week goes by and I am on my way home from Jacksonville and here it comes, smoke from the hood. Called in the family to meet me there, figure out the problem, and go buy a hose to replace the one they had sealed up with electrical tape. At this point I’m realizing that they got me, but didn’t even realize how bad. I kept hearing a clicking noise, so this time I drove it back to the guy we got it from and he says ohhh that’s the coil pack still needs replaced. Yea, that’s cool and all but my stepdad replaced it the day after I brought it home. He told me to bring it back tomorrow and have another guy look. So, that evening I tell my step dad that noise is getting louder and it’s starting to worry me. So he says let’s do a little tune up. He sent me out to Get everything for an oil change and I pick up all brand new spark plugs. As soon as my step dad pulled out, according to him “the worst looking spark plugs he had ever seen” and replaced them with new ones, the tick became what it obviously was, a rod knock. I’ve also included a pic of the oil pan. So, I doubt the original woman I spoke with even owned the van, considering I had to wait for her copy of the title to come in the mail. The auction price that still won’t come off the window kinda gives it away too. So my review is STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They will take your money and do not care if you have kids, use all your savings, and will still sell you a car and send you on your way knowing the car would be lucky to last a week.
