Firestone Complete Auto Care

Poor experience here. Made an appointment and came in for just an oil change and tire rotation with an inspection ; 3hrs later the car was ready. However the car now loses power once I hit 3rd gear , has a check engine light on and the car hesitates to start. I didn’t know the car had issues with third gear and starting until I drove away but when I asked what the engine light was about ; they then asked for 100 to tell me why.nnTo be clear I expect some type of foul play. The light was not on before visiting the shop and the car never displayed hesitation starting or power loss prior to the visit. Another shop will be visited for a second opinion and to find out what really happened. Got the vibe that I was being taken advantage of.nnLast piece of info is that my family has been using Firestone for years, so much so that we have a Firestone card on file. The associate told me there was no such card and didnt bother to look. After verifying, I can say that the card is on file.nnUpdate: after speaking with someone higher up I was able to get my car examined for free. A part apparently broke off during the oil change. It’ll take an extra day but they’re fixing the issue.nnThey still blamed the car for the problem and attempted to charge 200 for the fix thieves

Had a flat while traveling and it turns out my spare was not good enough to get us home. Extremely courteous and professional front desk person said he would take care of me in a reasonable time, and he wasn't joking. Vehicle was back on the road with two new tires in half the time I was quoted. I also want to call out the tech for his constant smile, and also his efforts on keeping us on our schedule. Thanks to both of you, while a little delayed, we were at least able to make our destination the same day.

Quoted 1900$ for work after bringing it in for a balance, rotation, alignment and oil change. Was expecting to spend a few hundred. They came back w needing all 4 new tires (true), 2 tire rods, (only needed one), and true, brakes and roders. They did apply coupons that brought it down to almost 1700$. I called my local shop in Bryson City, Smoky Mountain Tires where Ray is an honest hard worker and doesn't rip people off on prices or work needed. I've gotten all of it done except the oil change for 850$! It's a covid world and NOT OK to squeeze every penny you can out of customers. I'll take my chances trusting my local hometown mechanic and trust that other tire arm wasn't needed. I'll also not be paying ridiculous amounts for cost of labor.nStaff in the front was friendly and professional. Prices, not ok. ...and I got better tires.
