Great place to train. Jae is an amazing coach who cares for his students and fighters.

No Limit has changed my life completely and totally. The instructors are friendly, helpful, and want to see nothing but their students succeed. Totally beginner friendly, and everyone is welcome. On the mats, everyone is accepted. The people who train are all supportive and like a family. They're the best around!!

Came here to coach two teammates competing in his Baddest Blue cash prize tournament. Jae offered to let us stay the night at his academy, which we gladly accepted after a 4 hour drive. Jae and his students were very hospitable and welcoming, treated us like family from start to finish. I highly recommend his academy and I plan on going back in the future.

If you don't care to understand who this review is coming from then please skip this paragraph and go straight to my thoughts on the gym below, but if you do: A little about my background: I've been an athlete my whole life, and spent four years as a DIV 1 NCAA athlete at the Air Force Academy. I've spent a lot of time training under a lot of different very high level coaches, including 5 Olympians. As such I feel well qualified to give a good perspective on the quality of a gym. From a military perspective, I was in pilot training for the whole time that I attended No Limit, and it made for a very difficult schedule, which I will get to.nnFirst and foremost, a gym is only as good as it's trainers, and No Limit is headed by Jae. You'll find him there every single day, all day, teaching a lot of classes and giving private lessons. I trained under him for BJJ and Muay Thai, as a beginner in each. He got me up to speed and able to fend for myself on the basics very quickly, but never let me get deluded into thinking that I knew more than I did. He took the time to get to know me, and everyone else I trained with, and knew what our training goals were and focused on helping us meet them. No matter what you're training, he's very knowledgeable, practices what he preaches, and most importantly, I think, makes you feel like he always has time for you. He does a great job of supporting a wide range of students, from randomly beating people that want to be real fighters to toughen them mentally and physically, to helping people learn to stretch who might be learning to really exercise for the first time in their lives. This all leads to an overall gym atmosphere where you really do feel like a family, as cliche as that sounds.nnFrom a military perspective, or for anyone thinking that they don't have time to train because of a difficult or irregular schedule, I offer you this: I was in pilot training the entire time I trained here. That meant that I never really knew how often I could come in, or even if I was going to be around at all. Sometimes it was weeks on end between when I could go. But Jae worked with me through it all, and made it easy, stress free, and never charged me for time I didn't spend training. If you're on the fence because you work nights or have a weird job, I really encourage you to go in and talk to him.nnLastly I feel like I should close with the fact that the gym is really a no pressure environment. I brought in a ton of friends for the free trial and only one ended up signing up (I have lazy friends) but Jai didn't care. He only wants people that want to be there and he really does let you make that decision on your own. Hope this review helps you make the right call for yourself.
