The camping spots were much closer together than most public/state/Corps camps. The spots around the perimeter of the property seemed to be full time residents, with mailboxes at the front building. The spots in the interior seemed to be for us weekend warriors.nnThere were a lot of kids playing around, but they were very quiet and respectful. I spoke to a few neighbors and everyone was very friendly. Because we'd arranged everything online and by phone, I never had in-person contact with any staff. The arrangements were very easy to make online... and when an unexpected situation required my preferred/reserved spot to become unavailable they were very fast to communicate with me to find alternatives. We also requested a late checkout which they were happy to accommodate.nnThey offer cable at each spot, but the reception was just pitiful. We finally just raised our TV antenna and got more channels of a much better quality. Cell phone reception for both AT&T and Verizon were good.nnWe would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place for a short 4 day stay. The staff was very friendly and check in was simple. Welcome emails sent beforehand with all information included concerning stay. Arrived after office hours and a check in package was waiting for us. They included park info, a map for the area and tourist info with coupons. We had a pull through site and did not need any leveling done. Sites are a bit narrow but clean and they had a picnic table for each site. The laundry and bathhouse facilities were exceptionally clean. Although it is not connected with the campground, the Hungry Hunter restaurant is a great place to eat breakfast or lunch and is walking distance from any camp site. Will return when next we go to Branson.

Had to cancel our reservations because of medical emergency, called 8 hours too late and not given any refund. That’s $600 we lost. I can understand someone who just cancels for no reason, but for someone who has an emergency should be given a little more consideration. I would happily have given the one night penalty but to lose that much is really tough on retirees.
