Upon my first interaction with Amy Gibson it was apparent her communication style is effective and to the point. She listened to my concerns and provided the counsel that I needed. Amy is the person for you.nnI have worked with her for 9 years in a custody case that is almost famous in our area for the uniqueness / extreme nature. After the court getting it wrong for years, Amy was able to shine light on the REAL issues and was able to ultimately secure a final custody order granting SOLE LEGAL AND SOLE PHYSICAL CUSTODY.nnHere is what is more unique – this case was an emotional abuse case where my son was tortured for years (Much harder to show or prove versus physical abuse) However in this case, the emotional abuse was so bad there eventually were physical symptoms. Second - I am a male in the people’s republic of Maryland. It can be done, but you yourself are going to have to work for it. Amy helped guide me in what was needed on my end and what I needed to do. There were many instances that I did not agree with her advice but following it has yet to turn out negatively.nnNeedless to say, 9 years of my son and myself battling these demons, Amy was there when it counted most and calmed many of the anxieties that come with being in this situation.nnHer legal aid, Renee, has always been helpful when in need of advice providing clarity and insight to many of the issues that are attached to custody disputes.nnBoth Amy and Renee I fully believe are genuine, good people who will FIGHT the good fight. In a field where honesty, and trustworthiness are hard to come by, look no further. (Be Prepared for honesty – this is a good thing). Amy is detailed, able to follow complex situations, and has shown she has a unique ability to find the subtle trends and nuances associated with a complex case and piece them together, even when the pieces stretch over years of disputes. She just as importantly is able to figure out the “game play” and sleezy tendencies of many of the other opposing attorneys in the area. Knowing your opponent and their tactics is a clear advantage.nnIt is a struggle, physically, mentally and financially – Amy has helped on all fronts. I couldn’t have asked for more and consider both her and Renee like family. I am very thankful for both of them and can’t thank them enough for helping rescue my son and even myself, from a very contentious, horrible situation.

Customer service is friendly . Friendly staff. Paid for a consultation and felt the experience was very rude and am very disappointed in the service that was provided to me. When I expressed how I felt ...I was told “it’s just a matter of opinion”nnBased off of a 12 min phone call i am being judged on my conduct. I am a very kind and respectful person. I still gave 2 stars despite how I felt I was being treated and still gave credit where credit was due. TO THE STAFF. I told her I appreciated her advice but didn’t like her tone with me. I never said I disagreed with her at all... it’s how she came across and her deliverance of what she needed to say. Not every experience is a good one. We all fall short. I hope that from this point on everyone will be treated fairly regardless of situation. I’m glad I spoke out on how I felt. I’ve also read another review on AVVO.COM about her service. I’m sure she’s helped many but her attitude isn’t always right. No one is perfect. I have every right to speak out on how I was treated without feeling like I would get attacked and judged. I payed for a consultation yes but not for her disrespect and judgment towards me.I felt bullied off of the phone call and very uneasy and uncomfortable.

I can't thank Amy and her staff enough for how supportive, helpful and caring they have been during my 14 month custody and child support case. From the first meeting, Amy was sympathetic and reassuring - which was exactly what I needed at the time. She has been nothing but professional through all the meetings, mediation, court appearances and dealing with ex and other legal professionals. Any divorce and custody case is taxing and can be exhausting and it's easy to become discouraged.
