First time in Garret County MD area. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Coffee in a real mug w free refills including a full to go cup. Generous portion for a decent price. Recommended the omelets.

I'm a local and have been to this establishment multiple times over the years. I used to say 4 stars, but have since dropped my rating to 3. While the food is always good and 95% of the time the order is completely accurate, the owner is almost negligent in following protocol and mandates related to Covid-19. If any of the employees and owner follow even the simplest of the mandates, it seems to depend on the day.nThe parking is decent, but I highly recommend ride sharing as there is only enough room for roughly 10 vehicles if people park at a decent proximity from each other. Its all flat area, but not disabled friendly in that the parking lot is all rock and you must pull the door open toward you to enter.nYou have the choice of booth or table to dine and can see into the entire kitchen area while food is being prepared-I personally prefer this as I can see the employees aren't mishandling food orders and the area is clean.nThey have possibly the largest menu option related to wing flavors in the area (Grantsville) and a plethora of deserts. The regular menu of lunch and dinner however, leaves one to wish there were more options. It contains the typical burger and fries, eggs and cheaply made salads with decent deli meat- basically the kind of food you'd expect from a small diner. Again, the food is still good. The wait times are appropriate, even when they're busy. The prices, I have noticed, have been creeping up enough to compete with the diners closer to McHenry, otherwise known to non-locals as Deep Creek Lake.nThe property is easy access, a simple exit from the freeway and a semi-immediate turn and it sits along a State maintained road. The hours are typical of a local diner and the days of operation tend to change for various reasons. They have a Facebook page and regularly update any of these changes.
