Great hike, beautiful falls, nice swimming hole, water is cold but SO WORTH IT. Exercise caution as some rocks may be slippery.
Amazing atmosphere, great spot for a hike and a picnic. Must see!
This is the tallest falls in Maryland. It's best viewed inside Swallow Falls State Park. Make sure to visit by looking across the Youghiogheny River. It's not that far of a hike, but the trail entrance is on the main road near the bridge. I like to visit early in the morning so that the sun is low enough for even lighting and better photography.
Gorgous place must see .
As far as I'm concerned, this is the most grand waterfall within Shallow Falls State Park. If anyone has been to Blackwater Falls, Muddy Creek Falls is a larger version, but the best part is that you can get much closer to this one. This was my favorite by far.
