Mr. Ray James is one of the most extraordinary tax preparers that we are so fortunate to have. In 2016 when my family moved back to Boston, a local CPA has severely messed up our IRS and State tax filing and caused us huge penalty instead refunds. Then we found Ray James from a church friend who has helped their taxes filing over 20 years. Unlike many CPAs, Ray James is always very careful reviewing your files first, he is willing to listen no matter how ids-organized we are, answering your calls even when it is not the tax seasons; he always explains what the new tax rules are, and provides options what our best way to handle issues. To my family, Mr. James' integrity and sincerity has earned our utmost respect. Ever since we found Mr. James, tax filing is no longer a huge headache because we know that Ray James will do an excellent job. We would highly recommend Ray James's tax services to anyone! I was lucky enough to inherit some money 20 years ago, invested it.and bought a 2-family. At that point my taxes got a lot more complicated. Rich at James Assoc. was focused, patient, fast and informative. It's a relief when I finally get all the forms and data together and head off to have Rich make sense of them. He also catches me up on energy subsidies, de-leading and the pitfalls of Mass. estate tax. Good experience!

Friendly, but very slow, and poor communication regarding follow-up. Took six weeks from our initial visit in March, and despite lots of calls and emails on our end to determine any next steps, we were forced to leave work during the day to go sign the forms in time for them to be filed.
