Best spot ever to walk temperamental and stimulus responsive dogs.. plenty of space. Love it here.

A nice, well maintained nature trail. Not very long, but worth it. Plants and trees are labeled and there are some great birds.

Board walk ud83dudeb6‍♂ufe0fneeds some work. Tried to take the wavewalk-s-4 out to paddle, tide to low and to many weeds.

The rest area offer the only place safe to weary travelers. It's a federal park.to be reserved. Its history is truly ancient. The once bayou was the way which indians travel and live on in the past.it was there hunting ground and home.the forest and bayou was plentiful and abundant in resources.its under reforestation today.its really a wild place.and due the honor! I have personally live afew days and nights there.the biggest wild hog I saw lived there over 500lbs and also gators over 14ft.and also to mention rattle snakes over six feet. The ecology supports it.so thanks for reforestation .feds! Got that right!.a little bit more about the park it.s a bird fly away.duck heaven! I would.nt advise anyone getting off that protected site.its a swamp full off watermocasins.the billboard says it all.dont feed the gators but please do plant a tree !from pearl river to there is about to be lost from coastal damage!you will not find any artifacts but they have from thousands of years ago.some of which pre- dates chirst. Elephants bones and other clay pots spears arrow heads ect. Bears .big cats. and red wolfs all was present.today there still Bobcats and some wolf dogs. Farewell sasquatch and a honey locust to you! The lil people. The giant ones and the old ones!

It was a nice shorter walk by bayou sauvage. The walking pier is raised off the ground and there is a marsh look out spot.
