Wonderful campground if you like quiet. Spaces are fairly well spread out with some privacy and a few offer views of the lake. The hosts are friendly and kept the bathrooms very clean.

Great camp site. Because it's so far down by the water, the campsite was 10 degrees cooler. There was no mosquitos, and it was relaxingly quite. Was going to stay one night, but ended up staying 6. The trails are very enjoyable as well. I highly recommend lake Russel to anyone looking for some good old camping with no electricity.

Very friendly hostess and staff keep the place clean and we'll managed, you feel safe and comfortable staying here even though it's pretty deep down in the woods. Theres a few free places to camp in the wma but this one has pre made campsites and headed bathrooms with showers and firepits and a big beautiful lake, so it's worth the 18 dollars a night.

The camp managers and hosts are the best. Always a beautiful place to escape to. Extremely accommodating. Clean. Peaceful.

This is a little hidden gem. It needs a lot of work, very run down. No money for that.
