I’ve had my hair colored twice at Salon 124. When I visited today I was charged more than I was originally told over the phone. Come to find out that an additional charge of $30 for “glazing” was added to my bill. I did NOT ask for this extra service and have never even heard of it. I guess last time I came in Cathy had charged me for it as well and never asked me if I wanted this added on. I had 4 services last time (color, cut, eye brow tint and wax) and I also purchased product, so when I received my total, I didn’t think to question it. Today I only had my eye brows tinted and my hair touched up. My total was over what I was quoted and that’s what made me question it this time. I received an attitude from my stylist (Alexis) because she said I had asked for what I had done last time. Again, I was never told that an addition service was to be done. I explained the total I was quoted.. she did end up agreeing to take the additional charge off but I’m still upset that this happened in the first place.nBeware of additional charges for services that you did not ask for to be charged to you.

So I went to this salon for about 3 years. I used a few different stylists. None of them gave satisfactory results. Last time I went, I got hair color done. When I tell you it was the most uneven bleaching I’ve ever had, it was worse than what I did to myself in highschool. Patchy patchy. All sorts of different blonde shades and even worse, she used pulp riot which has a really strange color profile and when removing the color, it turned green. Luckily, I found a much better stylist and colorist. Funny part is that the salon 124 colorist/stylist that left me with such a terrible base has been doing this for over 12 years. My stylist has been doing this for a fraction of that time. Just goes to show that their leveling in the shop is a joke and that continuing education in this field is VERY important. I would NOT recommend, simply because the price point is ridiculous for the results.

Ladies dont forget to pamper yourself! This place is my escape. I have been going to this salon for about 10 years. I started at genesis and moved up with my hair stylists!. Everyone is friendly, great environment, an I love the products. Going here is a mini escape. My personal fav. Stylists are Natalie, Neisha who has moved:( and Rebecca! But so many more wonderful ppl.
