If Orlando is “The City Beautiful,” then Lake Eola Park is its residents' hub of leisure. This park around a sinkhole-lake in the center of Downtown Orlando is a picturesque city park, filled with gardens, art, a walking/jogging trail, and more! We love strolling along the lake for some quick escapism. Along the lake are sculptures and other art fixtures that enhance the experience and add some great cultural infusion into the Downtown Orlando area. The lake offers swan boats as well. If you visit at night, the fountain in the middle of the lake offers great water shows with the music being played around the entirety of the walking path. This park is also a great place to look out for farmers markets and other larger events throughout the year. We love walking around this lake and all of the offerings that are nearby.
What a wonderful park! Orlando truly is a beautiful city and Lake Eola Park is a shining diamond in its center. The loop trail around the park allows plenty of room for walkers and cyclists alike. And the views! The tall buildings on one side, the old downtown on the other, and two wonderfully charming neighborhoods on the other two sides make pedestrian exploration here a dream. Orlando really is a small city but it gives you these cool vibes if you would just get out of your car and explore. Highly recommended if you visit - Orlando is NOT just about theme parks!
Beautiful park to walk around and enjoy the day. Very nice quiet section of the busy city of Orlando. Chatted with some nice people as I strolled along the lake. Play ground area for kids, there are some swan peddle boats on the lake but I don't know if or how you can rent them. Might have to check into that and have a nice picnic. Lots of cool restaurants nearby also. Go visit and enjoy your day.
This lake is really awesome! We stumbled upon it coming back from the Vietnamese section a little north of here. We were having some yummy Vietnamese food there which I would also recommend. And then we stumbled upon this on the way back and there was some sort of thing going on. There was a lot of food trucks and just a lot of people. It was a lot of fun to walk around the lake. Really good vibe all the way around. Apparently they have things every weekend. I'll check it out next time I'm in Orlando on a weekend.
Such a beautiful experience coming here. My niece loved it! The swans are the best part. And I love how much walking distance you get just from a quick walk around the lake. We can’t wait to come back when they start doing the live shows again
