Manatee School For the Arts

Here Is my review on Manatee school for the Arts, I attended this school for three years now this school was already unorganized from the jump start, but my last year here, oh they really deserved there reward for being unorganized...first of all they will not care about your children people!! I skipped school for a whole two weeks and they did not notify my mother one time I was not In school. So there for If you bring your child here they could skip many days and you will be unaware, my mother found out at 2/1 weeks later, out of all my teachers only one called. So I come back to school for a couple of days here and there and then I just never show up again, so the last week of school one of my elective teachers call my mom asking about my camera. My camera, not even about my well being. Are you kidding me? My mom explains to this man why I’ve been gone and he has the audacity to say..”I never even realize she was skipping” Are you kidding me I haven’t showed up to this man’s class almost for three weeks and my absences weren’t even being reported, you got to be kidding me, parents do not bring your children to this lazy backyard charter school. If y’all really care about your kids well being bring them somewhere better than this place. Another way this school Is so unorganized and careless they lose people stuff and claim they never received It, so one of my very good friends come to this school in the beginning of the year from the D.R (AKA Dominican Republic) so my friend attend school In the D.R so she gives the school her transcript and guess what these people did, lost her transcript and claimed “they never received it” so my friend that was supposed to be in 11th grade Is placed in 10 grade. How lazy and unprofessional. Please don’t bring your children to this lazy unprofessional school, IF you care about your child.

Toured MSA with my Daughter at their open house last week. She is in 5th Grade and loves Art of Every type!! She would be perfect for this school, I'm hoping she will be accepted!! She deserves a place to prosper like this!!! She loved everything about MSA the School, the Programs, the Teachers and just the General atmosphere!!! She was so excited when we were there!!

Disorganized Admin staff. Rude. Disrespectful to students and parents. They refuse to listen to anyone. They have borderline corporal punishment for detention (force kids to sit in a way that is not ergonomically correct for an hour; causes him pain) Teachers are rude and have no respect for children. My son complains about being mistreated days on end. No respect for people that have any shortfalls on their learning. Son needs extra help sometimes and has to beg to get it. Teachers are always too busy. Never get a one-on-one with any of his teachers. They rarely answer emails or return calls. Make it so hard for parents to be involved or help with the child's learning.

I go to this school and it is awesome but the buses are filled to the rim so you better hope your not a bus rider if you plan on going here also just some news: only about 300 kids can be accepted for 6th grade

This school was good once upon a time and now they're going downhill by being really strict. I feel like they need to waste more money on things that are actually necessary. The bus system this year sucks I don't get home til like 6. They really need to give us more time to eat lunch cause it's been chaotic.
