Kid City USA - Crystal River

I’m not here to discuss parenting techniques, or input on my child’s behavior. But I feel the need to warn parents. There is a woman at this daycare who physically threatened my 5-year-old son twice. One of her comments. To me. was “.... I just want to.” And then made the choking gesture. She admitted to wanting to choke a five-year-old.nIt’s the duty of the parents to punish their kids for poor behavior and I have taken the necessary steps to inform and educate my children and the workers of this daycare But all in vain.nIt is not up to anyone to physically threaten a kid because any problems, behavioral or otherwise.nOf course for both threats I spoke with the director and her solution was to just make sure that the woman threatening my son no longer loaded him onto the bus. Not give her leave/suspension, or anger management training. I personally have been fired over less than this.nIt’s a daycare's duty to respect the children that are in their care. It’s a daycare's duty to care for kids regardless of any challenges that may occur.nWhat happens to somebody else’s kid who may be more challenging than my son? Are they safe? And just because the director and this woman are related she gets special treatment? I don’t think that’s fair to any of the kids who attend there.nThis daycare has no communication, they have openly admitted to me that they do not have the training necessary for kids who may have more challenges than the “average” child, and refused to work with me. They have also told me they are understaffed, their skeleton crew is so stretched thin that I am certain I have witnessed the 1 to 20 ratio being broken.

Only put one star because it wouldnt let me put 0 worst daycare hands down a huge incident happened with my children and the owner was a stuck up prude and acted like how dare you question me about multiple concerns we had. Lovee to stir up stuff with children and families but don't like when a good momma pushes back and doesn't stand for being dragged through the mud. NOT THIS MOTHER KID CITY ! I am a good mom everyone knows it ! Better clean up your own house before stepping to mine ! .

I can not even begin to put into words how great this place is! My son who doesn't trust anyone fell head over heels for this place. Ms. Cathy is a true God send! She makes learning fun and truly cares about her kids! Irene is amazing as well, she always greeted my son even though he wasn't in her class. To be honest all of them are truly amazing. Again, I can not sing praises high enough for this wonderful daycare who has taken my son and turned him completely around.

Very caring and loving staff cares a lot about all the kids and very attentive to the children's needs the entire staff are awesome

I'm giving 3 stars because I don't overly like the place and I don't hate it either. Teacher seems pretty nice but there's so many kids there.
