Just a wonderful state park near the heart of Fort Lauderdale. The circular one-way path is shaded and many people walk, run, and ride bikes along it. There are many walking trails scattered throughout the park that all link up to the main road and people definitely bring their dogs here, it’s great for dogs too! Love that the park is right next to the beach and they have a wonderful place called Park and Ocean where you can have a beer, order some food, and also reload on water. Perfect rest stop if you are cycling in the area. I still have to rent a kayak and try that out, maybe next time!

We rented kayaks and a canoe and enjoyed a paddle seeing fish, turtles and ducks. Very pretty view. Ordered lunch from the restaurant which was good (burgers and southwest salad with mahi). Best part is we walked over to the beach and didn't have to worry about finding parking or paying $$$ to park. Would have liked to check out more of the nature trails but a really cool place in the middle of the city that transports you into nature.

Absolutely love this park! The staff is incredible. It's always clean and well kept. Beach on one side, great fishing on the other. The road is a paved loop that's perfect for biking and roller skating. There's also several nature trails available for the adventurous types; nothing too extreme but all a wonderful display of Florida's under appreciated beauty.

Love love love, we love to go find cool trees to do yoga at and these were some cool trees with even better energy! This place made us feel like 100 bucks!! I didn't use any restrooms while I was there so I don't even know if they have any.
