Ron Jon Surf School

Top notch instructors, I did a private lesson and was worth every penny. $65 included everything. Don't forget to tip well cause they do a great job. Had me surfing in 15 minutes on a long foam board. If you do group lessons you just get less personal attention. A 1 hour private was perfect for the first time. You will be tired and sore after if you are new to it. Pack a towel and shower supplies and leave in the car at surf shop when you get back they have an outdoor shower you can use. I went back and rented a board the next day to work on the skills and their board rental was great as well $10 for the day. They got me hooked and went to the Ron Jon shop and bought surf ud83cudfc4‍♂ufe0f gear for future use. Big Ron Jon fan now!

Warren did a 1 hr private lesson for my 13 year old daughter this week (July 2020). My daughter is athletic and a good swimmer, but had never surfed. She was up by her third wave and she loved the lesson! We rented a board a couple days later and she was able to apply what she had learned and she caught many waves without assistance. We’ll continue to practice, and we’ll try to squeeze in another lesson with Warren while we’re here, but I would highly recommend this to others.nnThey had a rash guard you can borrow, but my daughter just wore her own. For the one hour lesson, you really don’t need to take anything for them, as they are out in the water almost the whole time. My wife and I brought beach chairs so we could sit and watch the lesson. Beyond that, there’s little else to prepare for. You just park, sign a waiver, meet your teacher, walk across the street to the beach (3-5 min walk) and the lesson starts. We were on the beach for a full hour.

Lots of fun, great instructors! Got up on the board on the 2nd try, caught probably 10 great rides in an hour! Definitely a good time.

I was here last March, signed up for a 1 hour private lesson. I’ve never swam in the ocean before, or even touched a surf board. Frankie, my instructor, was VERY informative and descriptive. Even though the waves were extremely choppy, she was able to give exact instruction on what I needed to fix. I was up on my feet at least 30 mins in. 10/10 recommend Frankie, and this Surf School.

My daughter had a private surfing lesson through Ron Jon Surf School yesterday and it was amazing! From beginning to end, the entire process was simple, professional, and enjoyable. Erin was our instructor, and she was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable, interactive, and made the entire experience a complete success. My daughter had never even attempted to surf and after five minutes of instruction regarding technique, she was standing on her first attempt. I would highly recommend Erin and Ron Jon Surf School!
