I normally give parks 5 stars just because but there is something just so underwhelming about this place I just could not do it this time. Labor Day and nobody was here. Three trucks with fishing trailers and that was it. Nobody on the soccer field and nobody using the shelter and picnic tables. The snack bar was closed and appeared to have been that way for some time. Even the fish were absent. We threw some bread crumbs in but nothing tried to hit them.....no bluegills or anything. I did see two turtles elsewhere. At least there is life. The entry to the park is bland and cuts through a harsh logged landscape. Folks have littered along the route. They have littered along the shore too leaving old bait boxes and plastic bottles and even an old broken plastic chair. These guys should be fined or worse. Unacceptable behavior. There was a trail that we noticed on the way out but there was no time to see where it went. Before I write this place off completely I might try to get back for that trail sometime.....but why can't we walk on the dam? That is where most lake loop trails start. Here they have it fenced off.

Nice quiet place

Nice park by the water. It has shelters, a restroom, plenty of parking, and playground for family events, picnics, etc... Also area available for fishing on shore, pier, and boat dock.

This is one of two country ponds in Brunswick County. This lake is off Highway 47 across from the school. There is a park with some ball fields. There are picnic tables and shelters. They have restrooms you can use. The lake has two fishing piers and a boat landing. Bass, crappie, catfish, and bream can be caught here.

It was nice till the disgusting bathroom's. Nothing can explain how bad they are. The smell was stuck in my nose for about 20 minutes.
