This is a decent YMCA for a small town like Franklin. There are far less amenities than you would find at a bigger gym, but that is to be expected. The workers are all pleasant, and are very personable. For the time being, it’ll satisfy my needs until I move on from my hometown.

My husband and I find this ymca great. Everyone there is so nice. Always helpful. I myself am currently in a wheelchair, and I swim as much as I can. And all the life guards are amazing. They all can use the lift for me well.nI find this ymca more like a family oriented place.nKeep up the great work!!!!

It's a decent place to workout. The people are amazing but when it comes to equipment this facility is lacking. In addition, most Y's have excellent stay and play options for parents with kids, but this Y has spotty stay and play options which means my wife and I get only spotty access to working out.

The people at the front desk & kids play area room are friendly & welcoming as well as show good hospitality but once you go to the pool room it's a different vibe. They don't allow the kids to bring things to keep them active nor play with their stuff. I've never seen a lifeguard in the water nor taking a situation seriously of sign to prevent a person from drowning or falling. If a person is holding on to a line in a deep end trying to prevent from going under water you should not tell them to get off a line. Save them.. Telling a child to put a weight on the leg to see how long they can breathe underwater is not a joke or should be a dare to a child from a lifeguard. Swimmer & non swimmer needs to take a break in between swimming. People using the pool for their personal time & asking members to not use the pool should not be prohibited. If they want to schedule a time let that front desk or manager know. The men's bathroom is not private. It looks like a prison bathroom. Everyone can watch each other. Not good for kids. Also, it's a vent & whole in the sonic room where people can look into the men's bathroom. They don't have that many people to show you how the machines work nor check on people to prevent over working out. The YMCA does give you a chance to join according to your income but not other forms to pay until you become in a financial difficulties. Also, if you don't use it that much or don't go at all that month, you still have to pay.
