Garst Mill park is tucked away in Roanoke county. It's a linear park with a serene walking paved trail that is 1 mile mostly flat, out and back that follows the creek. Ample parking. Great playground that always has some kids with new equipment and a little library. Recently resurfaced basketball and tennis courts. Picnic shelter and restrooms. Great peaceful park for an easy walk.
It's a good place to go and enjoy nature, however people don't use their mask and there is a few that just let their dogs wandering around.
Love this park.. I has all the elements a park could want..open spaces, play grounds, picnic, water creek running though it...and you always run into someone with a smile.!! Now go there and find out for yourselfs.!!
Great small park. Short walking path, playground, creeks, dog waste sections for bags and disposal of poop. Covered picnic area.
I've been taking my kids there for years and years. It's also a great place to walk. It has a half mile trail up and back. Garst Creek is very nice.
