This is the most peaceful place around. With the beautiful hardwood floors, soft lighting, and high ceilings this building offers a place of tranquil relaxation. When I walk in the doors and unroll my mat a calming feeling overcomes me. The instructors, classes, community outreach are phenomenal and the vibe will definitely attract your tribe.
I'm surprised this place only has 7 reviews! This is a quaint little yoga studio nestled right by Radford University. I'm visiting my grandparents for a week and was seeking out a studio to visit during my stay. I didn't want to drive all the way out to Blacksburg, so I chose Downey Dog Yoga, and I'm so glad I did! Kim was the instructor, and she's very kind! The practice was great. She had the windows open and mosquitos came in and bit us and she came around and rubbed lemongrass essential oil on my arm! At the end, she put cool washcloth and essential oils on everyone's forehead and even put oil on the bottom of my feet during pigeon pose. I will definitely be back again. If you're in town, or looking for a yoga studio in the area, this is it!
This studio is absolutely stunning! The teachers are amazing! One of my most favorite spots in The New River Valley!!

Courtney and Kim are both warm and welcoming and each have their personal teaching style. I would recommend their classes to beginners and those who have their own practice and everyone in between. It's a wonderful experience to practice in Downey Dog's historical building. I'm so happy this beautiful studio is right down the street!
