My favorite hike of all time! It was my first ever when I was little and I've returned often with excellent memories each time. The view is incredible and worth seeing. It's not too long so you could hike it in a morning or afternoon easily. I recommend heading up from the 2nd way up and not panorama because it's faster and easier!

Beautiful viewpoint, 100% worth the hike. Remember to bring adequate water, you should be drinking a quart per mile on the trail. It can be a little crowded at the peak, and there isn't a ton of room to properly social distance yourself. Mountain Luarel is beautiful and plentiful along the path in early summer, it smells wonderful.
We used Meadow's Spring trail to access, which is a very nice trail with a homestead halfway up and some pretty cool freshwater springs. This is a moderate hike with all the elevation gain done in the first mile the trail is very well maintained. We use this trail to the AT and then up to Mary's Rock overlook. Total distance up and back about 2.9 miles.
View is well worth the hike. Can be a little crowded.
