Great trail and really gets your blood pumping to warm you up in the winter.
Safe hiking/mountain biking/ horse trail riding with great views along and iver the Shenandoah River. Cabins and camping facilities from primitive to full utilities
What a beautiful and excellent place to visit. The views are beautiful and the lake is breathtaking. The picnic grounds are well kept and vivacious. The park rangers are always nearby, active and very helpful. You must try water tubing in the lake. The lake is shallow so you can do it even if you don't know swimming. Beware though that the lake floor is very rocky and uneven.
Great walk, but they were not joking about the tic danger. Three of the four of us got bit!nBeautiful, fun walk otherwise.
