This was a great place off the beaten path. Take your time when driving in as it's easy to miss the road to turn on if you aren't paying attention. Catch and release pond is just a short walk from any of the campsites. The trails on the grounds are primarily for the horses, but very enjoyable to hike through on foot as well (the property sits on 84 acres). There's also many areas to explore that are a short drive away, one of which includes access to a natural spring. Highly recommend a visit if you're looking to ride horses or merely just surround yourself with nature!

My little group and I did the 90 minute horseback ride this past weekend and it was great! All 3 of us were beginners, but with the well trained horses and awesome guides we did just fine. Our guide (I believe his name was Jake) who we rode directly behind, reassured each of us the whole time we were doing great and would give tips when we needed them. He was very knowledgeable about the horses, the area, and just overall friendly. We loved our horses Jessie, Buster and Roguer. Each had their own personality and were very sweet. We plan on making another trip up once it warms up and utilizing the campground, ponds and other amenities. Overall, we had a great time and my 12 year old is stoked that she finally achieved her dream of horseback riding in the mountains. Can't wait to go back ud83dude0a.

Our horseback riding review @fortvalleyranch:nn✅We had a great first-time experience! My wife was quite nervous about riding a horse. However, our wrangler, Jake, put us right at ease. Our youngest rode behind Jake’s horse and knew how to direct the horse with the reins. Amazing! To turn left, you tug the rein in your left hand and so on.nn✅The terrain was interesting which added to the excitement. The beautiful shaded trails wounded through the woods, a few narrow bends, slopes, inclines, and streams. It’s hard to describe the feeling of being on the back of horse - you feel like you’re riding with a companion who’s graciously carrying you in a slow gentle trot.nn✅ We would do it again and maybe pick a longer ride next time. Our 1-hour ride flew by quickly.nnHighly recommend!nnTips:nud83dudc0eWe brought our own bike helmets.nud83dudc0eBring cut apples and carrots to feed the horses.

This is our first time doing this, and we did it during the snow. It was magical making me feel like I’m in Winter Wonderland. Sarah was our guide, she’s very patient and informative. Skunk and Shadow are our new little friends. They’re such good boys and well-trained. Definitely will go back to visit them. We had a very fun and exciting experience. Highly recommend this place!

We camped and took the 1 1/2 hr. horseback ride. It is a beautiful place and the guides and staff are super friendly, helpful, and patient. The campsites and facilities are very well maintained. It was a really nice weekend getaway!!
