Although i am not able to move to this location at this time, i will never forget my visit. This community is welcoming and do not judge you. The space is relaxing and feels just like home for someone who wants to live in a community. When they began cooking dinner, the smell was intoxicating. The various jobs around the community are all appealing. Everyone gets along and the financial setting is easy to understand.nI would recommend visiting this location to learn more. For those who are aware of communes and how they operate, this is a well managed one!

I spent three weeks at Twin Oaks doing the visitor program. Like anywhere, it's not perfect, but it's a great community that's been around a long time because they're organized and provide a quality life for the members. Did more manual labor than probably ever before, working in the garden and tofu processing . . . But loved it! Enjoyed the time in nature, getting to know some of the members, and living a more sustainability-focused life style.

Visited there several years ago as I know two of the founding members... I had the blessed opportunity to stay overnight and share with many of the members.. Gorgeous piece of land with a remarkable group of people. I love the concept and what they have built there!nEven though I don't think it's a lifestyle for me (at a permanent level), I would LOVE to go back and do a three week visit (that is available these days)
