I loved the pool. NOW, I am VERY upset that ACAC has bought this. So they will price average folks out of being able to use this pool. Disgusting.

My wife and I were visiting friends in Free Union and I needed a place to work out during our visit. I found the Crozet YMCA online and visited two mornings to use an elliptical. I was able to get a guest pass from Jessica and enjoyed the experience at the Y. I never had trouble finding a machine to use, the ellipticals were excellent and the facility was clean. I wish we had a similar facility in my hometown in Texas. Thanks Jessica! Our visit occurred the same weekend as the Crozet Arts Festival and the Y was closed that Saturday. However Claudius Crozet Park has a one mile loop trail that I used for a brisk walk to get some exercise in anyway.

Outdoor pool looks nice, but I came for the indoor equipment. The smell was overwhelming. The smell of mildew could make any person want to vomit if they are sensitive to Smells. Unbelievable. I mentioned it to a local, and they finished my sentence before I could even state that the smell is bad. Apparently everyone knows about this, but nothing has changed. Why? Why? Why doesn't the board of directors put money towards cleaning this place up and modernizing? Obviously this has been a long-term problem. I can only conjecture bureaucracy has gotten in the way of the simplest of things. I hope there's no mold growing that would cause someone to have a long-term illness.

Love this place. Still can smell funky... but such a nice small town place that work out.

Overall a friendly, hometown fitness facility with a heated pool. Not very big, but has everything you need! 4/5 stars.
