I opened my solo law practice in 2010 and waited 6 months - white knuckling it - before I hired my first accountant. Things were fine until my business began to grow rapidly (almost right away!) last year (2013) I began to have some difficulties with my original choice of CPA. I had to cut them loose - RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF TAX SEASON! Not something I would recommend to anyone.nI called Christina Monfalcone just as I was making these decisions and she helped walk me through the transition, calming my anxieties about the soundness of my records and other issues and ensuring a smooth transition. She personally - and her staff - have done a great deal to settle my rattled nerves. Like most businesses, accounting is at the very core of my decision making. I admit I don't understand what its all about but I know the LAST thing I need is trouble with tax authorities and I need to have timely and accurate communications and reporting to stay on top of my things. I get that from Monfalcone Accounting. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
I am a divorce attorney in Charlottesville and I occasionally have questions about the tax ramifications of some of the financial transactions involved in my clients' divorces. Christina has always been very helpful and prompt in answering those questions. If my clients require accounting services, I refer them to Christina as well.
