WOW! Just wow!! Griff, amazing guide on the water. He gave us lots of great history and information. He's funny and makes for a smooth and easy trek onto the water. We shot out first thing in the morning, and not 15 minutes in we were with whales. One of the most humbling and exhilarating experiences of our lives. Seeing whales from big tour boats is surely exciting, but seeing them on a kayak when they swim up to you and past you is surreal and beyond description. Hearing them breathe and watching the baby whales learning to be whales up close is so perfect. Then to top of the trip the wife and I wanted to snorkel with a sea turtle, and before Griff even finished getting us anchored, BOOM, there was a beautiful turtle. Thank you Griff for making this such and amazing and memorable experience for my wife and I. Mahalo!

Aloha Kayaks was such a great experience! Griff was an excellent guide. He is super knowledgeable about the culture and history of Hawaii as well as some geology and biology/ecology in the area. One person in our party wasn’t paying attention to the directions but Griff was incredibly patient and helpful. I personally really appreciated that he tried to take our small group away from other tours to help us have a more intimate experience.

We highly recommend Aloha Kayaks! Griff was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and will impart a lot of knowledge and history of Hawaii and its inhabitants. He is patient and is quick to get to you if you need help. If you are a first time snorkeler or never used a kayak Griff will have you going in no time. On this trip we got to see whales up close, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, an octopus and many reef fish. Whales migrate and are only around in numbers between January through March peaking in February. Guides can't control the sea life. So just give Aloha Kayaks Maui a call you will not be disappointed.

Griff was such an awesome guide! I’m so impressed with the knowledge of the island and the whale info he passed along. He is a steward of the ocean and we are lucky to have made his acquaintance. I felt totally safe and he had very nice equipment for our whale watch/snorkel trip.

This was the highlight of our trip! For starters the kayaking part was amazing because we could see the ocean floor as we paddled out to the reef. Mikey was very friendly and engaging with the history of different islands and Hawaiian history. Mikey even swam around as a spotter for us. For your next snorkel trip, I recommend doing it via kayak and highly recommend using Aloha.
