Great viewing point to see the sunrise above the clouds.
This is a MUST when you go to Maui! I just loved the view!
Amazing place to watch the sunrise! It was a fairly short uphill hike from the visitors center, but seemed way less crowded! Highly recommend taking water and sunglasses (for once the sun comes up-its blinding). We had a fantastic view! Highly recommending coming up to Haleakala for the sunrise, I've read sunset is great too if you cant get reservations.
The view was really good and there was a lot of hiking trial however you could just drive if you wanted.
