Roy's

Roy's is always amazing. My 10yr old tried and loved the most amazing blackened Ahi. This probably isn't a normal thing for a 10 yr old but it was so good he's now a fan. Everything else about our dinner was wonderful including the 12yr old thinking the Salmon on the kids menu was the best he had ever had. Loving the consistency for so many years.

Nice view of the lush golf course. Service was great, polite and considerate waiter heard our questions and requests and ensured that everything was to our preference. Food was delicious and great quality and flavor. It was no issue to sub the rice that came with my teriaki salmon [juicy and flavorful!] for steamed veggies - yum!!

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had the butter fish and it was fantastic. My girlfriend had the seafood combo and it was great as well. Highly recommended!

I am a local resident that discovered Roy's last year during the Covid Pandemic. At that time Roy's welcomed local patrons as the tourists were not able to travel to Maui as before. The attitude of the staff was wonderful, service and food was excellent. All around a 5 star experience.nnHowever, I regret to report that Roy's appears to have turned its back to local patrons now that the tourists have returned. I walked into Roy's last weekend without a reservation. The place was almost empty. I apologized for not having a reservation and asked for a table for two. The hostess rudely replied that there were no tables available except for this makeshift table with a bench seat right next to the front door and bathrooms with no view. I asked about the numerous empty tables scattered around the dining room and inquired about sitting at one of them. Sorry, not available. What about later? Sorry, we are completely booked up this evening. At this point I mentioned that no guests were rushing in to take these tables so why not let us have one. At this time the hostess went to get the manager who told me there were no openings that night.nnNeedless to say Roy's did not want my business and I felt that their Aloha spirit for locals that I experienced last year disappeared when the tourists came back.nnI won't be back to Roy's unless I get a personal apology from the owner or manager or both. Staff was very accommodating with my young diners requests for customized kids meals. Souffle was fantastic. Meatloaf and shrimp pasta were pretty good. Menu seemed slim for options, maybe reduced for COVID.
