Hanakaoʻo Park

Turtles! Come at the right time on the right day, and you will see turtles flipping around, poking their little heads out. Really nice beach and one of the few with a lifeguard. Long Beach too. Extra parking was closed for construction.

A nice secluded beach just off the highway. The sandy beach side is narrow compared to other beaches and has some rocks and twigs. We were there for 2 hours and saw 3 turtles.

Snorkeling in the shallow rocks east of the sandy beach was amazing. I stopped counting sea turtles after a dozen. Saw 3 or 4 really big ones. One was an absolute giant!

I love this very locals paddling and canoe beach! Shade and sunny areas, rocky and sandy beach areas, great for snorkeling and has awesome life guards too. Wonderful facilities/picnic tables/bathrooms/showers...nice sidewalk/concrete path/boardwalk all through it. Grassy well kept lawns too. Truly one of my favorites!
