We loved this place! Unique, beautiful and picturesque. We have been to lots of national parks, but this one was amazing! The summit at just over 10k feet makes you work for your hikes, especially the climb back out of the crater!nnYou’ve been warned.nnThe views are worth it.

Driving up the weather changed four times, the top was surrounded by clouds the day we went and it was racing something serious. Make sure you bring layers you will probably need them. Outside of that the views on the way up are breathtaking to say the least.

There's no words I can say for this park other than it's a spiritual experience. We got clouds on our sunrise reservation but the pure quiet and seeing how small we all are is truly breathtaking. I also saw a nene which was awesome!

Beautiful drive up the mountain through many distinct environments.nWear pants, bring a jacket and shades. I strongly recommend renting a convertible for the day and drop that top.

Fun drive and great views. Suggest you take a sandwich, go up for the sunset and stay for the stars! Oh my...
