Kīpahulu Campground

Basic camp site right on the ocean. Sunrise was gorgeous, and sleeping with the ocean crashing is delightful. It's been a long time since I've seen the stars this vivid as well. The closest services if any kind are a 30 minute drive away, so be prepared before you come. The camping loop is fine, but be sure to go down the path, there are camp sites right on the water.

Nature at it's most tempest - it will rain and stop and start again - there are awesome trails that lead to waterfalls and more treasures - there are bathrooms and a visitor center to fill up drinking water bottles, and lots of room to spread out and camp; I highly suggest it, as I do this multiple times a year with my family and friends...!

super basic campground but the fact that you can camp right on the ocean, with the waves crashing at night, makes it my favorite campsite ever. can not recommend this place enough. a MUST do for anyone doing the road to hana. end your day of driving here and begin another with an amazing sunrise!

A must-stay after driving the road to Hana!! Absolutely incredible views, easy set-up, plenty of space. We got here mid-day and were still able to snag a pretty awesome spot. Great access to Pipiwai Trail and other walks/hikes in the area.
