Willapa National Wildlife Refuge

Beautiful place to visit. Can't wait to come back and explore more. Lots of hiking trails without large crowds.

Charming trail along a marsh, and through a small rainforest. Cutthroat Climb was a little slippery.

Amazing flora and fauna. Something for everyone.

The parking lot is still open during this pandemic. The bathroom is closed, so you'll see pieces of toilet paper here and there. Other than that, the place is pretty clean. The boat ramp is nice. The area is wild. Birds and fish. A long kayak or canoe trip around the island will be about five hours. Bring a lunch, water and safety gear

There are several different parks and trails. This spot will take you to headquarters building with an art walk and short incline, together are about a mile long. You can grab a map here. The bathrooms are currently closed due to COVID.
