I had no idea that Eastern Oregon was so sparsely populated! Beautiful, lonely land. And in the midst - the Oasis. Definitely worth your stop for incredible shakes, homemade soup, and kindness. The kindness extends to the birds. I have never seen so many quail in one place eating the bird food they put out on this snowy, cold day of our travel.
If you eat here you won't be sorry. Beautiful location, friendly people, and the best homemade food. They have homemade candy too if you want to get something sweet.
1ST TIME THERE WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND GREAT PLACE TO EAT!! HAD A WONDERFUL TIME LOOKING AT THIS HUNTERS HAVEN OF 'STUFFED KILL' AND YOU WILL FEEL JUST AS STUFFED BEFORE YOU LEAVE!! BEAUTIFUL OPEN FIRE INSIDE WHILE EATING AND IT GIVES WARMTH AND CONTENTMENT TO THOSE WHOSE HEARTS ARE LONGING FOR HOME..
A fantastic place to stop and gets some great food. Very polite people
We stopped late in the evening and I was greeted by a friendly and helpful owner. The room was basic but clean and was great for a nights sleep and shower. It is obvious it’s a well cared for operation. We didn’t have time for breakfast but the cafe looked and smelled delicious! I highly recommend for a clean and basic rest with a great cafe.
