I would like US Bank and all customers to know how disappointed and disgusted I am with them as a bank. I received a mailer stating if I opened a checking account and had direct deposit of $1000 per month after a certain # of months I would get $250. I thought it was a great opportunity because there is a US Bank right around the corner from my work. I opened an account and did everything the fine print required. Months and months went by with no deposit into my account. I called customer service and was told there was no record of this promotion on my account. Even though I signed up with the promotion code. I was told I had to contact the branch where I opened the account....funny thing is, I opened the account online. Basically customer service was useless. I called the bank manager at the “branch” I was assigned. He put in s ticket to corporate and said he would get back to me. A week later, nothing. I called him, he stated there was no response from corporate and he would resubmit. Long story, over a month later I finally get a response that my request was denied because the promotion is only valid for addressee. Umm...before I was told there was no record of any promotion, now they found it and it was not addressed to me. Pretty sure it came to my house. If you receive a mailer, don’t sign up, it is a scam!!!!
