The store looks old and not the most appealing but things there are often less expensive than elsewhere. There is Maria who I like very much, she knows everything there, where things are and is very helpful. A word of caution about returns. They do not like returns. I seldom return anything I bought from there but there was an instant when the fruit I bought looked fine outside but was rotten inside. I brought it back immediately. Much to my surprise the cashier put it on the scale. At Sprouts, we would be told to bring the receipt and throw away the rotten produce. That approach is base on trust. I remonstrated with the cashier, that she could not go by weight since I did not put the rotten part I cut off inside. She told me, she refund me according to what I brought back. Sprouts use receipt. It never occurred to me to bring back the total weight. She got loud and I got loud. As I drove away, it came to me, it is a matter of East meeting West or vice versa. She was not operating like Sprout does, on trust. Sure, Sprouts could lose out with less than honest customers but it is still a good business approach.

This shop has cleaned up their act significantly over the last year or so. Food items are fresher and store doesn't feel as cluttered anymore. Good for Asian/Oriental spices, foods, staples etc. Reasonably priced.

So this was my first time to this market and it was a good experience. The market has a huge amount of different items to choose from and even meat/seafood. The atmosphere was what a typical asian market has, but it was a little dark. The lighting could be better. With that said, all of the items look fresh and good quality. I would recommend them to anyone.

Lady cashier's were nice place looked clean. Didn't walk around too much but was a place to stop and get some water. Could smell they had fresh meat/fish from the meat counter if you've ever been in a meat market you would recognize the smell. It's nothing bad it's just how it smells. But everything else looked ok
