We've been going to this Safeway since moving to Tucson and I have to say that the staff here is phenomenal when it comes to customer service! The people who work check outs are chill and the one with the cool side shaved hair helped me out big time when I accidently left my coffee there.nNot to mention what made me decide to make this review was the very friendly interaction I had with Geoff the cashier. Very nice and set a great mood for my morning!nnThese people deserve major props! Customer service is hard as it is, but to do so with such an energy shows a lot of good character!

I generally love Safeway and have been a long-term customer. However, this specific store has stymied me. I have limited mobility, and there are never enough power carts or handicap parking spaces. A few times I've taken my personal mobility device in, but it's not feasible to buy a full bill of groceries that way.nnI have no complaints about the product quality or the friendliness or professionalism of its employees, all of which/whom are excellent. But the lack of accessibility is a dealbreaker for me, and I know I'm not alone. I work two jobs and don't have the luxury of shopping early mornings midweek.nnI can order online and pick up, but there are so many products for which this isn't an option, or where I want to choose quality - fresh meats, veggies, and bread come to mind.nnSafeway, please do better. For some of us, these issues are a door slammed in our proverbial faces.

Safeway is good and clean with a little Starbucks inside of it. The one main thing I dislike is how they rearrange the store and on some stuff they are overpriced but it is conveniently located right by me so I do not make a fuss. I would also like to point out that it does have close quarters in the aisles but it is manageable if you have patience to wait when the store is busy.

This place is very cool, like most Safeway’s I’ve been too, I believe this building was built in the 1980s, this building has architectural features that are ahead of its time, they use modern looking futuristic ceilings and darker lighting, most other stores built in this time have bright fluorescent strip lighting and they look dated, I believe this building has never been remodeled. The store has good produce, I used to go to this Safeway from 2012 all the way up to 2017 when I moved to the southeast side of town. I really like their selection of candies and other tasty snacks like ice cream, popsicles, and root beer floats. I hope to visit the east side again after COVID and this will be one place I will visit. One thing I dislike about the store is the really loud thunderclaps that go off when the misters activate in the produce area. The sound is really creepy and it’s really loud.
