There's a library and party spots and even a small man made lake for fishing
From my experience I spent a whole lot of full days there and maybe got 1 catfish the whole time and spent two to three days in a row .I even got away with spending the night but the results was the same.I tried several kinds of bait ...shrimp,worms(night crawlers),blood bate, marshmallows, liver, and hotdogs.nI guess I was the wrong person to ask sense I even took a ticket for fishing without a license on labor day.nI don't know about lately but a few years ago there were fish with sores all over them and we were told that they were still safe to eat.nIt was so bad I decided to raise my own catfish thinking that the fresh water would be good for them and us.nAlas I wasn't able to get the funding or help to build the pond's and all the fish I bought died on a cold night.200 catfish gone,40 bass,500 minnows and 20 Bluegill all gone.nI haven't given up on the idea but next time I will have the pond's ready first.
Nice local park, with a lake. Looks like some people feel like it is okay to leave fishing line everywhere. The trees seem loaded. Otherwise a nice place to walk, hang out, play outside. There are ducks here.
I love Kennedy Park it has lots to offer. It has basketball court, baseball field, swimming pool, large area for dogs to play, covered picnic tables with barbecue grills, lots of fun here I consider this park one of the safer ones. Doesn't seem to have a large druggie crowd. Several homeless persons but they are friendly and don't appear to be stoned or drunk. I do recommend Kennedy Park.
Fed the ducks with my 2 year old daughter and 7 year old son. We had a great time. Fun for kids....
