It allows me to sit down and unwind on my walk home after work. There is a very cool WWII monument. A Carnegie Library is there which is now a children's museum. There is one of my favorite installations in Tucson. An awesome statue installation of a Griffen called Toby by a well known artist. It's a nice place to have a picnic or just have lunch if you work downtown. Enjoy!
Manhattan unfortunate situation I spent the night there again I did the same thing in and 2020, I know there's a few situations with the drug addicts and meth heads I feel more secure in this location compared to other places so beautiful Park across the street is a good children's park fun house awesome place
Small park but nice place to relax in the shade.
Fresh coffee n Dunkin donuts at 8:30 am coming from Pastor Amos. You get a awesome devotion with the goodies! Can't beat that! Just to let you know the lawn is wet from being watered, at least it's watered! There are no tables or many benches, so bring a blanket. Oh my goodness, it's so peaceful, you can surely gather your thoughts and take the world on with a new outlook!
I enjoy going to Armory Park and just sitting and watching people go by. It is also the home of The WW ll Memorial honoring Tucson and Pima County Veterans that were killed in action or died as a result of their injuries.nGilbert Quintanilla and Connie Lujan Harris came up with idea and presented it to the City of Tucson.nWith the support of The City of Tucson, Pima County, and The State of Arizona funding was secured.nThe Memorial was unveiled on November 1, 2013.nnThe names of all the men that are engraved on the wall, that served and died from Tucson, will forever be known as Tucsons Heroes.nThe names of these veterans are forever embedded in my heart.nnMy only regret is that Gilbert and my Mom, Connie, passed away before they saw their dream become a reality.
