I thought about leaving a horrible review so less people would stay here, because it is our favorite spot!! every year it seems harder and harder to get reservations, which is understandable, it is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at. our kids love riding their bikes around, we love being close to the beach, and the showers always have hot water!!
I would have loved to give this campground 5 stars because we have had so much fun but unfortunately we had some very load neighbors after the 10pm quite time. We asked the neighbors nicely to quite down and they swore at my 70 year old mother and teenager daughter. We called the campground host and she said they would send someone. We waited 20 minutes and no one came. I called again and they said someone would come. No one did. The neighbors started screaming again so we called 911 and about 20 after that the cops came but apparently the campground actually called them the first time when we call. I don't know why the campground host couldn't come when I first called. What is the point of paying for a campground if the host is not there to regulate the quiet time? The cops were not much help and were very annoyed we called them. The guy acted like we were the problem and the cops were laughing and joking with him and came and told us if we called again both of us would be kicked out. I told them I didn't think that was fair and they didn't see how horrible the people were but they didn't care. I am now sitting outside at almost 1am making sure they don't mess with my daughter. Just a sad situation that could have been made better by a decent campground host. ***EDIT*** After talking to the campground host the next day we found out that there was a miscommunication with the front office. I asked for the camper host to come and they have no way of contacting the campground host and we should have went and knocked on their door. The campground host was so nice and apologized for the confusion and wished she would have been told. She said they have had problems with the rangers/officers in the area being annoyed if they are called unless someone is injured or its worth their time. It's sad since we are trying to show our children that most cops are helpful and nice and this didn't show that. We will for sure be back to this campground. I did go in the restroom once and it was pretty gross so that could be improved.
Camped at Bear Lake State park right aside of the beach. Trash everywhere and rude people playing loud til 11 pm. No park staff to complain to. NEVER will stay here again.
Went camping at this beautiful spotnThe lake was so high that we were only a couple yards from the sandy shore,nBear lake is such a beautiful turquoise!nnThe campsite has both tent and RV sections, and all sites are well spread out between bathrooms/dumpstersnnCleanest bathrooms i've seen camping, and there are outlites if u need to charge a phone, in the past in these campsites i didn't receive signal, but this last trip i did :)nnThere is also an abundance of cute critters! This last trip we saw a frog, baby birds, a groundhog/mole, and a pelican!nnHighly recommend for all ages, this is a perfect spot for kids (especially if they like sand)nnIt can get a little windy at night, but nothing too bad,nnIf your planning on staying I highly recommend the bear lake monsters and a local spooky story to tell around the campfire, and of course to check out the pickle-dill play house and famous raspberry shakes nearby in town :)nnWe had a wonderful experience!
We’ve been coming here to have family reunions for years, it’s a great place, kids love it and we always have fun.
