Awesome 4x4 trail to the top of the highest peak in southwest AZ! There are picnic tables and fire rings to use at the top as well. Wasn't too crowded on a Friday, saw a few utvs but no other jeeps or trucks. There were ground squirrels and lizards, as well as some birds. Didn't see any types of larger animals. Trail is rocky and narrow in spots, rides the mountainside for a lot of it. Could be nerve wracking for the uninitiated. Did this trail in a stock 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. Fun day for sure!!

Hiked this last year. Saw one person on the trail. Great views. Challenging but do-able for a moderate hiker that can handle the distance with elevation

My favorite place to see Saguaros, so far! Highest peak in SW AZ. From the trailhead, it's a 10 mile hike to the peak and back. About 3,200 feet in elevation gain. The trail is easy to follow, narrows at points, and is a consistent incline. The taste of victory isn't the same when you reach the top and encounter the Jeep crowd though.
