Great place to go hiking and seeing the great outdoors
Much less busy then the North side
I ran 8 miles (4 each way) heading north on the West Rim trail. It was beautiful, as always, and the trail is easy to follow with amazing views of the river below. Right away, I saw big horn sheep, which is always a highlight of this area. The Río Grande del Norte National Monument is a huge asset to the region with so many trails, hot springs, fishing, and camping opportunities. You won't be dissapointed!
