Defendu is a home away from home for our family. It’s a great family environment. We love the care and consciousness in the instruction and the warm atmosphere. Our children’s Jitz skills have improved and so has their joy! Highly recommend!
Before the virus hit was looking for a place to take my children so they can learn self-defense. My kids tried it out and didn’t like instructors who were Foreign and condescending foreign and condescending .But when I check this place out found out it was bought by a new owner that knows nothing of the martial arts world. And it is very unorganized. The staff there gave me the feeling that if I didn’t take them there or elsewhere so I’m going to take them. If you consider your child safety or even your safety to be important do not send them there. And I know where we live we don’t have that many choices but I would rather go nowhere than to go there.
Defendu is a great place to learn BJJ and kickboxing. The instructors are very knowledgeable and motivating, there's a great community inside the gym, everyone looks out for the well-being of their partners. When the gym gets the go-ahead to open I can't wait to resume my training there!!
