Georgetown Cabins Resort

Our review is just a little late, but there is so much that we can say about our stay here! We stayed the weekend of March 27th for 2 days and would have happily extended our stay if it wasn't for work. We stayed at the beautiful Mitchell Cabin! Everything about this place exceeded what a getaway meant. The drive up was so exciting. Especially for a City girl like myself. The dirt road the leads up to the cabin opened up to a resort atmosphere nestled deep in the forest. Our little mustang handled it more than well! We were greeted by Sue, who gave us a little historic background on the particular part of the forest that we were in. Then she gave us the ability to self tour, in which we immediately fell in love! It was so Serene and quiet, and we got to experience bird watching with binoculars provided, stargazing, coffee in the morning with coffee and all the fixings provided. I forgot my blow dryer and which I got the pleasant surprise of finding when available for use! Everything was so neat and clean and we hope to return again soon! On our way out of town we found a little restaurant called The Patio in which the owner exclaimed knowing Sue and Jon. To us that just made it seem even more that we were dealing with some excellent individuals. This is more than a perfect getaway and you should plan for more than one weekend here! Thanks Sue and Jon for making this stay feel like home!

Great time, cabins are amazing and views are beautiful. Totally worth it to fall off the grid at this resort. Lots of amenities, grounds are awesome! Definitely make the trip!! Will be returning!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Friendly and courteous staff. Clean cabin. Already had DVDs there which was so handy.nnTip: if you have a low vehicle, take the north entrance through Mimbres, a 3 mile drive on a decent dirt road. The south entrance is 5 miles on a moderately rocky dirt road.

Great secluded peaceful... just what we needed! Host was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Great details about the cabins and area. Cabin was amazing, view was amazing, history of the area very interesting, not what we expected to find. If you need the shake the world off, this is the place to do it. What a fabulous get away. Susie is very responsive and was able to accommodate us for an early arrival. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. Susie provided great info with regard to attractions and local history on Georgetown. We explored the Gila Cliff Dwellings and enjoyed a gorgeous hike on the Catwalk Trail. We will definitely be making a return trip to Georgetown Cabins.
