Great team have met a few in the field working and the officers i have met have been the most polite, inviting, respectable and most of all willing to give you a moment of their time giving advice on the area. Grand county is one of our favorite places to visit. Thank you for all you do.

The Sheriffs of Grand county are awesome and respectful. As long as you show them respect and make their life easy by cooperating. LT. Schofield knew me from my previous stay and knew immediately that I had already taken care of this matter. Deputy A Gross was super nice and had a great attitude. He recommended a bail bondsman based on his experience that would get me out ASAP. He wasn’t messing around; by the time I was pictured and printed and processed the paperwork went through and Deputy Gross and Deputy Reading walked me out the front door and wished me luck. No one ever wants to get in trouble and go to jail but the Sheriffs of Grand county will go out of their way to help you as best they can. I am very grateful for all of you. Including SGT Overholt. Who was training the deputy that was doing my intake. She was always nice and fair with me in the past because I worked hard as an inmate worker and was respectful. Thank you all very much. You are great examples of how law enforcement should be!

Our family was in Winter Park from Dec. 26-31, 2018. On the 29th, our adult daughter went cross-country skiing alone on trails above Vasquez Road. I dropped her off at the end of Vasquez Road where the snowbank prevents regular vehicles from going further. The time was approximately 1:30 pm. It was my understanding that she would return to that same point by 4:00 when I would pick her up. She sent me several texts updating me as to which trails she was on. She said she would be down by 4:30 but would come out at the road closer to town. Therefore, not knowing exactly where she might show up, I drove up and down the road hoping to intercept her. At this point, I was no longer receiving updates from her. When I had not had contact with her by 5:00, knowing it would soon get dark and very cold, I began to get extremely concerned and called 911 for assistance. The dispatcher (Michelle) sent Deputy Jake Fischer out from Granby to meet me at Vasquez and Lake Trail Rd. Just before he arrived, I got a call from our daughter, saying she was in town and OK. She had been following a map of the trails but felt that some of the trails were not clearly marked, and she had gotten confused about which trails she was actually on which made her overdue. Eventually she made her way to a business on the north end of Main St. and used their phone to call me. Her phone had died while she was on the trails, which is why she was no longer able to update me as to her position and condition. I was with Deputy Fischer when she called, and by showing him the phone number, he was able to call the business and confirm that she was there and safe. At that point, my husband joined us from The Lift he had been returning home (condo) on after skiing. Officer Fischer then drove us (me following in our truck) to the business where Robyn was waiting. Needless to say, we had an emotional reunion with her, having been near panic before we received her call. We are most grateful to Officer Fischer for staying with us until the three of us were reunited. He also got a hug from a hugely relieved mom and dad. Many heartfelt thanks to the Grand County Sheriff's Office and Officer Fischer.

They lost a star for horrible customer service and their $30 hidden booking fee, but the food was good and plentiful. The other residents were friendly and I had an overall good stay. Would recommend to others.
