Thai Spicy Basil

I enjoyed my dinner at Thai Spicy Basil.nnFirst, the bad news: I had the Royal Chicken and the sauce was too thick. Also, I would have preferred more heat in the sauce. There's sriracha at the table, but would have liked a little more kick from the kitchen.nnNow, the good news: Speaking of heat, my food was served at a super hot temperature. The ingredients were fresh and the veggies had lots of flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sauce tasted exactly as expected. The service was quick and cordial. They had a complimentary iceberg salad with the standard sesame/ginger dressing on the table even before they took my drink order. I wish I could get that kind of service at home.nnIf I lived in Lamar, I'd work with them on my preference for more heat in the sauce. It was good to see they had plenty of business even on Christmas Eve. Would I eat at Thai Spicy Basil again? You bet.nnAlso, to echo a couple of the other reviews, from the outside Thai Spicy Basil looks forbidding, but once you get inside, it's a large, cool, welcoming, and urbane space.nnUpdate, 10/6/2020: Since the first time at Thai Spicy Basil, I've taken my family for Christmas Eve dinner three times. It's become a lovely tradition. The food has been consistently hot and flavorful, with portions that are more than ample. The service has been consistently friendly and professional. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that they can be open for in-house dining by Christmas Eve this year.

My favorite location for quality thai food. service is always nice even when they have a full house. fast and courteous service.

Thai food and the feeling here is very good. The staff was very welcoming and sociable. Prices were decent. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.

Thai food and the atmosphere at this location is super good. Great location to meet with friends. Next time I'll be back with my coworkers. Prices were appropriate. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I liked.

Since their closure with the whole covid. Their food quality to include taste and their service. Has gone WAY downhill. Having one person cook, answer phones taking orders ect. We are very disappointed. They were the Best. And now were looking elsewhere.
